What would you do if someone entered your church and began shooting? Churches are now finding
themselves targets because of their traditional nonviolent status. Crimes unilaterally perpetrated against
churches, their supplies and, in particular their staff and congregation, have increased substantially in
the past decade. Since the 1990's churches have been the victims of theft, armed robbery, and even
murder. And, this is in addition to normal criminal activity. The religious community is at risk and as a
whole is behind the curve compared to the secular world in terms of security and emergency

Security within the church is a very misunderstood concept. Many believe that security does not belong
in the church; that it somehow undermines God's sovereignty. But The Bible clearly tells us to "...foresee
danger and plan ahead..." (Proverbs 22:3) and  “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care,
serving as overseers.” (1 Peter 5:2)

Security is not all about guns, guards, and metal detectors. It is a complete program that, when properly
implemented, does not hamper the openness and inviting feeling the church should have. Security is
about being prepared and bringing peace of mind to the congregation.

We address every day threats such as crime, medical emergencies, disasters such as fire and
destructive weather, violent situations and "active shooters", and lost or missing children.
These situations will continue to occur in the church, in the Christian school, at the Christian ministry and
against Christian missionaries; we believe that by being proactive, the Christian community as a whole
    can minimize these risks.
